This Year's News!
Last year, we had an Extra Special Issue (July, 2016) on "Mindfulness and Psychotherapy".
It is still available as an e-issue, as a PDF download. There is a 'light version' of this available free, here.
The full version is available for €15.00 (see CATALOGUE: Vol. 20 (2016) Extra Special Issue)
This year, we are publishing another Special Issue (in July 2017), on 'Psychodrama' and also
a Special On-line Issue on 'Psychotherapy vs. Spirituality'.
We are also starting to publish articles on-line, in advance of publication. To access these, please click on the "Read Current Online Articles Here" link (above, left). These articles (those that are available) are free for you to read - given the time limits! There will be other on-line articles available soon.
The 'publisher', the European Association for Psychotherapy (EAP) is a member of the World Council for Psychotherapy (WCP); and an International (Non-Governmental Organisation) NGO member of the Council of Europe. For more details about the EAP, please go to the EAP's website: www.europsyche.org
The IJP was founded in 1996.
It is published by the European Association for Psychotherapy (EAP).
We currently print about 500 copies per issue, with three issues a year, in March, July and November.
Back issues (printed copies) and PDF files of the whole issue, of issues from 2005, plus PDF files of all the different individual articles (from 2005), are available as automatic downloads (see Catalogue) using PayPal.
IMPACT FACTOR & ACCEPTANCE RATE
We are in the process of applying to various indexing organisations - like PubMed Central (PMC), Scopus, and the Thompson-Reuters Social Science Citation Index - for proper professional recognition, so as to obtain an impact factor, based on the number of citations: so, watch this space!
We currently only have an impact factor from International Scientific Indexing: 2.251 (2013); 2.679 (2014); 2,701 (2015); 2.729 (2016): see here.
Acceptance Rate: We have also recently been asked to publish our acceptance rate.
For 2013-2016: Over the last 3 years (since Vol. 17, No. 1, Mar. 2013), we have published 9 issues, containing 63 double-blind, peer-reviewed articles: 7 articles have been rejected (1 outright and 6 after peer-review). The "acceptance rate" is therefore - on average - over these 3 years, about 85%.
